Malevolent has superbly crafted a story of violence, monsters and mystery. I love the conceit of a Arthur man with a voice in his head, who has exclusive use of the protagonist’s eyes. As Arthur blindly gropes through this world, so do we. Why is the voice bound to him? Why is everyone out to hurt him? As Arthur and the voice navigate the world trying to figure out the mystery, we learn more about the voice. How reliable is he? Who’s he really looking out for? Who is he?
The sound production is visceral and creepy and the acting is on point.
A winner for anyone strong of mind and of body.
